ROLEC polyTOP IP 66 Enclosures Now In 13 Sizes

February 2018

ROLEC’s polyTOP glass-fibre reinforced polyester enclosures are now available in 13 standard sizes.

These tough, smart IP 66 enclosures are suitable for a wide range of electronics applications in harsh indoor and outdoor environments. Their halogen-free GRP construction makes them highly resistant to chemicals.

ROLEC has designed polyTOP to be size compatible with its aluNORM range of diecast aluminum enclosures – so a switch to GRP is easy.

Like aluNORM, all polyTOP enclosures feature a single-channel lid and assembly fastening system to maximise internal space. ROLEC also offers polyTOP with a choice of four different polyamide fixings: slotted (standard); triangular or square head to prevent tampering; hand screws for fast access.

Threaded bushes for the lid fastenings are manufactured from stainless steel, as are the exterior mounting brackets. Inside there are threaded M6 fixing pillars for installing terminal rails, PCBs and mounting plates.
ROLEC polyTOP’s 13 standard sizes range from 3.22” x 3.22” x 2.36” to 15.90” x 15.90” x 6.29”. They are available in pebble gray (RAL 7032) as standard or (optionally) deep black (RAL 9005). Prices start at $32.

Options and accessories for polyTOP also include IP 67 ingress protection and a silicone gasket (temperature resistance -50°C to +140°C).

ROLEC can supply polyTOP fully customized ready for the installation of PCBs. Services include CNC machining, custom colors and materials, printing, engraving, RFI/EMI shielding, membrane keypads and full assembly.
