okw2011-10_HROKW has added a fast-action mounting kit for the ‘ART-CASE’ series of plastic electronic enclosures.  This popular range is used in a wide variety of applications including detection and monitoring devices, system controllers, home automation, medical equipment, and health and wellness electronics. Many of these applications require the units to be mounted on walls, ceilings, partitions, vehicles, machine housings and other equipment.

As a result of customer feedback from these applications, OKW has developed a special mounting device that clips into the cut-outs provided on the base or bottom lid of all ‘ART-CASE’ models.

The mounting device is molded in ABS (UL 94 HB) in off-white or black to match the enclosures. The device is simply mounted to the wall, or surface, and the ‘ART-CASE’ is then snapped into place. A secure and discreet assembly is achieved with no visible fixings screws to prevent tampering. 

The ‘ART-CASE’ series is available in four stylish and ergonomic formats: round, oval, square and rectangular shapes with external dimensions from Ø4.33” to 6.29” x 4.33” x 1.49”.

All models can be configured with a series of three different base sections, two of which are inclined at 30o or 55o. The other base section increases vertical height by 0.78”, providing greater internal space for the electronics, and is especially useful for ceiling or wall mounted devices.

All enclosure parts are molded in off-white or black ABS (UL 94 HB), with special colors available on request. The top parts can be flat with a recess for a membrane keypad, or domed.

The bottom part and deep base will accept a battery compartment for two 1.5V AAA cells. Internal screw pillars are also provided for mounting the PCBs. Standard prices start at $14.

OKW can supply the ‘ART-CASE’ enclosures machined with holes for keypads, connectors, LEDs etc., plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and RFI/EMI shielding.
