Incorporating 2 plastic optical fibers built into Cat5, Cat6, and Cat6a patch cords, Mitsubishi International’s PatchSee patch cord identifier employs LED light injection. This enables users to identify and secure both ends of a patch cord without tracing cables or disconnections causing “line-down” conditions. The device helps define various cable line functions by providing 16 color-coded removable clips that snap-on the RJ45 connectors. The EIA/TIA-standardized identifier suits data processing, networking, office automation, industrial control, and telecom panels. The zero-halogen unit offers PVC sheathed (UTP) types, lengths from 2 ft to 16 ft, a direct cable from 20.1 ft to 165 ft, operations to 10 Gb bandwidth (Cat6a), and a choice of multiple color battery or rechargeable battery LED light injectors. A free demo kit and a sample operating “Starter Kit” can be included.
