Prosilica GSTargeting industrial inspection, general machine vision, and microscopy, Prosilica’s GS Series periscope-type CCD cameras present a gigabit Ethernet interface (GigE vision) to allow cable lengths of up to 100 m using conventional network cables and up to tens of km using fiber optics. Functions consist of snapshot/globalshutter, pixel binning, area of interest readout, external trigger and sync I/O, auto-iris control, RS-232 peripheral port, exposure, gain and offset controls, non-volatile configuration memory, event recorder capability, pre-trigger recording, programmable strobe functions, multicasting, configurable IP addresses, and autoexposure and autowhite balance controls. The 55 mm × 90 mm × 25 mm instruments show a resolution range from VGA to 5 megapixel and full-resolution frame rates to 120 fps. The color or monochrome devices come with landscape or portrait orientation, built-in ¼ mounts, progressive scan Sony CCD sensors, plug-and-play software, and support for Windows, Linux, and QNX on Intel and Power PC platforms.
