Offering complete IP connectivity and security in a small form factor, the CO2144 from Connect One, is the latest addition to the iChipSEC family of machine-to-machine IP Controllers. This 10 x 10 mm chip supports wireless LAN and cellular standards making it suitable for automotive, remote monitoring, and medical device applications. The controller offers a full suite of Internet protocols and applications, works as a coprocessor, and has a logical interface between the host application and the devices AT+i Protocol, a text based API. The device also includes WLAN (64/128-bit WEP, WPA/WPA2 enterprise) and Internet (AES-128/256, SHA-128/192/256, 3DES; SSL3/TLS1 protocol for a secure client socket session) encryption algorithms for end to end encryption support. The chip supports WLAN roaming, dial-up and LAN wired networks and cellular solutions. The controller includes a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet MAC and supports 10 simultaneous TCP/UDP sockets; two listening TCP sockets; SMTP, MIME, POP3, FTP/Secure FTP, Telnet, and HTTP/HTTPS clients; and SerialNet™ mode for serial-to-IP bridging. The device includes a USB v.2.0 full-speed host and device, a parallel bus, external bus, SPI, two-wire and USART interfaces. Security features include a random number generator, SHA-1/256 secure hash accelerator, AES-128/192/256 encryption accelerator, 3DES, SSL3/TLS1, and WEP/WPA2 encryption for WiFi. The controller operates at an industrial temperature range of -40° to 85° C (-40° to 185° F) and is RoHS-compliant.
