Central Semiconductor released its CMASH-4 Schottky diode in the SOD-923 package. This new FEMTOmini device is a 40V, 200 mA Schottky diode with a forward voltage drop (VF) of 0.38V maximum at 1.0 mA and a switching speed (trr) of 5 ns maximum. According to the company, the CMASH-4 in the SOD-923 uses 55 percent less board space as compared to the SOD-523 package, and has a 48 percent lower package profile making it appropriate for most portable handheld electronic devices such as smart phones, cell phones, digital Cameras, MP3 players, GPS systems, Notebook PCs, and camcorders.
