Fairchild Semiconductor introduces three motion-SPM devices, the FSB50325S (250V), FSB50250S (500V) and FSB50450S (500V). Available in 29 mm × 12 mm surface-mount-device packages, These devices enable designers to achieve high levels of energy efficiency, compactness and low electromagnetic interference required by small (50W to 125W) inverter motor drive applications such as water pumps, dishwasher motors and fan motors. Each motion-SPM integrates six fast-recovery MOSFETs and three half-bridge high-voltage ICs into one thermally efficient package. These integrated components result in low-loss and low EMI characteristics that improve efficiency and reliability in the application. Compared to discrete approaches, these integrated modules offer significant space savings and they eliminate the task of testing and qualifying multiple discrete components.
