Utilizing an onboard transducer, PCB Automotive Sensors Division’s Series 5300D TORKDISC in-line rotary torque sensor systems designed serve automotive engine, powertrain, and chassis dynamometer testing, torque studies, and gearbox efficiency testing. The devices incorporate dual analog outputs, AC and DC coupled, providing static and dynamic torque measurement capabilities that can be recorded separately and independently scaled. The products offer DC bandwidth to 8500 Hz, an 8-pole low-pass elliptical filter with user-selectable frequencies on the DC-coupled output; and a 2-pole Butterworth high-pass filter with user-selectable cut off frequencies in the AC-coupled output. A remote receiver unit converts the digital data to an analog output voltage and a serial digital output.
