Offering Ethernet, USB, and Serial ports, P&E Microcomputer Systems’ Cyclone for Renesas standalone in-circuit programmer communicates with a device using the control protocol of the target processor. The product completes programming operations in one touch, once configured, and allows for a transition to the production environments via intuitive software. Multiple Cyclones can be detected and controlled from the same PC, and uses voltage protection technology. In Stand-Alone Mode, the device is configured and loaded with one or more programming images while control may then be automated using a PC or can be operated completely independent of the PC. An LCD screen facilitates configuration and operation, and the menu-based navigation allows the user to select the image to be programmed when the unit contains multiple programming images. It works with the Cyclone Automated Control Package, containing a .DLL that enables dynamic data programming, multiple programming image management, and automated error detection.
