Optima EPS, an Elma Company, announced M-series seismic cabinet enclosures designed for tight spaces. The cabinets have French-style doors with hinges facing inward, to provide full access even where racks are side-by-side or where an open traditional door would hit other equipment. The cabinets also have cross bracing, back stiffeners, and double-walled extrusions, providing a high strength-to-weight ratio to support and protect equipment during the full force of a seismic event. The design uses welded sockets and members, double cavity extrusions, thicker gauge rails, and a welded base for extra durability. A variety of rail types and hole patterns are available to meet a wide range of requirements. Optional features of the M-series cabinets include dust and moisture protection, cooling systems, cable management systems, hard-mounting, and electrical plug strips, and extruded aluminum construction. Lead-time is 2-4 weeks.
