Skyworks Solutions, Inc. announced the SKY73012, an integrated, broadband, high-dynamic range quadrature demodulator with outputs that are differential and can be directly connected to most commonly available analog to digital (A/D) converters. It is also suitable for CDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS receivers, WiMAX (IEEE 802.16) radios, RFID readers, power amplifier (PA) feedback/linearization, wireless local loops (WLLs), and wireless local area networks (WLANs). The high dynamic range and second order input intercept point (IIP2) and IIP3 value of the device make it appropriate for use in direct conversion and low intermediate frequency (IF) receivers. The device features integrated LO balun and amplifier, differential IF output, on-chip in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) phase splitter, and a single +3.0V supply. It is also manufactured in lead (Pb)-free, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS)-compliant packaging.
