New Retainer for 4.8mm ML414 Micro Batteries

Pencil comparisonAstoria, NY - A new, miniature Lithium button cell retainer suited for high density PCB packaging has expanded Keystone Electronics Corp’s selection of surface mount battery retainers for SMT applications.

Designed especially for miniature electronics such as watches, hearing aids, calculators, keyless door entry fob’s, memory backup, small toys, and other applications, these new retainers are engineered with reliable spring tension to assure low contact resistance while firmly securing the battery within the retainer.

This new surface mount retainer accepts all ML414 micro Lithium batteries from all major manufacturers and is compatible with all soldering and reflow operations. Retainers are manufactured of Phosphor Bronze with solder tails located outside of retainer body which facilitates visual inspection of the solder joints.

These retainers are available with gold plating to accommodate both lead free and low temperature reflow soldering. Request (Catalog#2994) in bulk or on tape and reel (Catalog #2994TR). Retainers are compatible with most vacuum and mechanical pick and place assembly systems.

Keystone is a major manufacturer of interconnect components and electronic hardware and provides a range of stamping, machining and assembly services. ISO-9001:2000 certified and RoHS compliant, Keystone has USA headquarters with offices in Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.
