The advertising sales arm of Comcast, Comcast Spotlight, has tapped media veteran Brendan Condon as chief revenue officer.
Effective today (Oct. 1), Condon – a former AOL executive – will head up the company’s salesforce and lead sales revenue, execution and effectiveness across the business.
Based out of Comcast Spotlight’s headquarters in New York, Condon has a strategic focus on customer experience and account management to fuel revenue growth, according to a company news release.
Condon has 30 years of media experience with a focus on multi-platform sales. Most recently he was president of audience-based programmatic TV advertising platform AdMore, and RevShare, a top short-form direct-response provider, both of which are owned by Cannella Media. Condon was also CEO of Media Property Holdings, which was part of The Carlyle Group before it was acquired by Cannella Media.
Before that, Condon was SVP of Global Emerging Markets at AOL, overseeing worldwide advertising strategy and execution for mobile, SEM and affiliate businesses, as well as the Mitsui JV based in Japan. He also held senior leadership roles at AOL Time Warner and Advertising.com, a Time Warner/AOL company.
“Brendan is an industry leader with a finger on the pulse of today’s dynamic advertising industry,” says Hank Oster, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Comcast Spotlight, in a statement. “We are excited to have him on board as Comcast Spotlight moves into a data-enabled, audience-driven era complete with new, advanced products and solutions to help advertisers make more informed and efficient buying decisions.”
