Dish is giving business owners the ability to control multiple TVs via an interactive app called Dish OnePoint.
Users at locations where Dish set-top boxes are installed can use the remote app on iPad and Android tablets to manage entertainment set-ups with multiple TVs, like sports bars, restaurants and fitness centers.
The app is available for free and is compatible with Dish’s Wally set-top box, as well as the Hopper and Joey receivers. Dish said support for Hopper Duo is coming soon.
The app features a single interface, eliminating the need for multiple remotes, and the ability to rename individual receivers and create custom groups.
There is also an interactive guide where users can search for content without disrupting whatever is currently playing.
“For businesses with multiple TVs, Dish OnePoint eliminates the stress of mixing up remotes or scrolling endlessly through the programming guides,” says Alistair Chatwin, vice president of Dish Business, in a statement. “Now customers don’t have to miss a second of their team’s game or favorite show while waiting for employees to find the right channel – Dish OnePoint creates a better television experience for everyone.”
