Sling TV subscribers can now add NBA League Pass to their streaming package, with Team Pass access to launch in the coming weeks, Dish’s streaming service announced Thursday.
The NBA’s out-of-market live game subscription service is now available as a $29 per month add-on with a subscription to Sling Orange, Sling Blue, Spanish-language and select Sling International services. Fans can access nearly 1,000 live out-of-market regular-season NBA games, and customers will also receive linear access to NBA TV.
Sling TV said that in the future it plans to add on-demand content, including game replays.
In the coming months, subscribers will also be able to add Team Pass for $18 per month. With Team Pass, fans have access to live regular season games for a single team of their choosing.
“By introducing NBA League Pass, along with its Team Pass offering as optional add-ons, we continue to give our customers control over their Sling TV experience,” Ankit Bishnoi, VP of Content Acquisition and Strategy at Sling TV, said in a statement. “Our customers appreciate choice in their entertainment, and we continue to deliver on that promise by offering popular content in new ways, at an affordable price.”
Sling TV also offers NBA games on ABC, ESPN3, ESPN, NBVA TV, TNT, Regional Fox Sports Networks and Regional NBC Sports Networks.
Earlier this week during its fourth quarter earnings report, Dish broke out subscriber figures for Sling TV for the first time, saying the service has amassed 2.21 million subs.
