As the latest U.S. cable operator to team up with Netflix, Altice USA said Monday it has completed integration with the OTT video service across its entire Optimum footprint on the Altice One platform.

Altice One is the operator’s recently launched connectivity hub that replaces the traditional cable box, modem and router, providing access to OTT services as well as Altice’s own video offerings.

Altice said that current Netflix and Altice One customers will be prompted to sign in when accessing Netflix on the platform for the first time. Altice One subscribers without a Netflix membership will be able to sign up for the streaming service directly through Altice One. The company also is developing a new remote for the Altice One platform that features a Netflix button.

“We are very pleased with our progress in rolling out Altice One and the positive response from customers,” Hakim Boubazine, co-president and COO of Altice USA, said in a statement. “We are also excited to announce our partnership with Netflix and to provide our customers with seamless access to Netflix content on Altice One. Altice One combines the latest video, internet and connectivity technologies into One immersive experience as we make it simple for our customers to find what they want to watch and access all of their subscriptions in one place. This is just the beginning of the Altice One experience and we look forward to unveiling more content and innovative features for our customers.”

The cloud-based Altice One platform also includes a personalized user interface that integrates access to live TV, VOD, streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube and Pandora, and cloud DVR recordings.

“Now, Altice One customers who subscribe to Netflix can easily access their favorite Netflix shows and movies directly on Altice One, without juggling different cords and remotes,” said Paul Perryman, VP of business development for Netflix.

In November, Comcast integrated Netflix into its Xfinity X1 set-top box, and Charter Communications has also said it plans to embed Netflix.
