The ever-multiplying number of devices in subscribers’ homes that are connected to a broadband network means an ever-expanding challenge for service providers around customer service. No matter the complexity or number of gadgets vying for attention on the network, consumers just want everything to work smoothly, and they often contact their service provider first when everything isn’t going smoothly – no matter what the actual cause may be.
With that challenge in mind, Altice USA says it is expanding its services to customers with a new suite of whole-home service products. Offerings include in-home installation of devices, remote technical support for mobile devices and computers, and device protection beyond the company’s standard equipment coverage. The company has teamed with HelloTech and Asurion to offer access to advanced expert and specialized care for subscriber devices that utilize Altice USA’s video, internet, and phone services.
“As a service-driven company, Altice USA is focused on providing customers with superior support and value to meet all of their connectivity needs 24/7,” Hakim Boubazine, co-president and COO at Altice USA, comments. “We recognize that the proliferation of new devices and equipment has made the connected home a more complex environment for our customers, and we are pleased to help simplify their lives by being their go-to partner for whole-home service and providing a comprehensive end-to-end support experience.”
Options include a “premier protection and support plan” that offers remote technical support for all connected devices that can connect to a wireless network, from phones and tablets to home automation and security products. It also includes device protection, like repair or replacement of eligible entertainment and computing devices such as PCs, printers, and TVs. Just below that option is a plan that, Altice is offering a remote technical support for all connected devices, with no device protection. Another option subscribers can take up is one that provides remote technical support and device protection for home entertainment devices, such as TVs and DVD players.
For subscribers looking for even more specialized service, the operator will also provide on-demand installation, setup and technical support, including services like TV mounting, home theater setup, computer virus removal, and more.
