Botball is a series of workshops and worldwide competitions that, according to their site, engage "middle and high school aged students in a team-oriented robotics competition, and serves as a perfect way to meet today’s new common core standards."

Students attend regional workshops in January, February, and March that introduce them to the technology and rules, and after a build period of 7 weeks, they participate in a local competition in March, April, or May.

Students learn to program using using C, C++, and Java, and their robots will be fully autonomous.
