Salesforce.com, which makes software that helps companies manage customer relationships, said Thursday that it has agreed to buy Rypple, a provider of Internet-based workforce management software.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com said it plans to re-launch Rypple as "Successforce" and create a new human-capital-management business unit.
The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close during salesforce.com's fiscal first quarter which ends on April 30.
Salesforce.com said it doesn't expect the addition of Rypple have a significant impact on its fiscal 2013 revenue.
On Thursday, Salesforce.com shares fell $1.66 to $106.71.
