SKY Engineering is a sponsor of the New Balance Girls On The Run 5K taking place on Saturday, November 12 at 10 a.m. in Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Arizona. This run and the New Balance Healthy Living Expo on Friday, November 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mount Elden Middle School in Flagstaff, are events for this year's 2012 program.

"We support various non-profit efforts in Flagstaff and Phoenix. Girls on the Run (GOTR) is one of these special organizations that exemplify core values that line up very well with SKY Engineering and SKY Renewable Energy," said Director of Sales, Christine Kelly.

The objective of GOTR is to educate and empower girls at an early age in order to prevent the display of at-risk activities in the future of their lives. GOTR is a 501(c)3 positive youth development program which combines an interactive curriculum and running to inspire self-respect and healthy lifestyles in pre-teen girls.

"SKY Engineering has been involved indirectly with GOTR since the inception of the Flagstaff location of GOTR in 2006. SKY has been involved directly as a sponsor for the last few years," said Kelly. "Angela, the daughter of SKY Engineering President Kay Young, was a co- founding director when the national organization initially set up a program in Flagstaff."

Among the sponsors are New Balance, Goody, Garmin, Horizon Fitness, Carolina Pad and SKY Engineering, Inc. who is a Fall Season Sponsor and a Presenting Sponsor of the 5K Run and Healthy Living Expo.
