Electronic Arts Inc. said Wednesday that it added Jay Hoag, a venture capitalist who was a founding general partner at Technology Crossover Ventures, to its board.

The appointment raises the size of EA's board to 11 members.

The video game publisher said Hoag was also named to the board's executive compensation and leadership committee.

Hoag is on the boards of eHarmony, TechTarget, Zillow and Netflix.
