Computer Sciences Corp. received two contracts from the U.S. Postal Service worth up to a combined $83 million if all options are exercised, the company said Monday.
The technology services provider said it will provide management, operational and logistical support for the Postal Service's mail transport equipment service centers in Lakeville, Minn. and Barrington, N.J.
The contracts have a three-year base and two two-year options. CSC will now operate nine of the 15 mail transport equipment service centers in the United States.
Under the contracts, CSC will provide program management, information systems support and logistical services. CSC workers will receive, examine, route, repair or recycle and dispose of mail transport equipment, the company said.
In afternoon trading, CSC shares rose $1.59, or 5.5 percent, to $30.42.
