Thomas has worked extensively with market-leading media and telecoms companies across Europe and the US, helping them deal with the disruption caused by the media meltdown. He has provided research and consultancy on topics as diverse as creating multi-screen content, harnessing social media, making e-publishing pay, and mapping the future of TV.
Thomas’ appointment will bolster Informa Telecoms & Media’s strategic decision to merge its Broadband and TV research divisions earlier this year.
“The phenomenal success of the BBC’s iPlayer, NetFlix and Hulu proves that no operator or content provider can afford to view the broadband and TV markets in isolation,” said Gallagher. “Nick’s considerable experience of leading and advising TV and digital media businesses means he is perfectly placed to help our clients to understand and address such convergence.”

Thomas joins Informa Telecoms & Media from Forrester Research. Previously, he held senior editorial and executive roles at an array of media companies, including Associated Press Television News and the UK Press Association.
