The award originated in 2005 and is named after the founder and chairman of Vishay Intertechnology. It recognizes individuals who have made outstanding technical contributions to the passive electronic components industry. “Honorees personify the dedication and perseverance of vision in the electronic components industry, traits synonymous with Dr. Zandman,” says Bob Willis, ECIA Chief Technical Officer.
In learning of the award and passing along the monetary gift, Dr. Dougherty acknowledged “I am glad to have an opportunity to show my appreciation for the wonderful background that Villanova Electrical Engineering provided for my career.”
