A unit of defense contractor General Dynamics Corp. has received a contract worth at least $10.2 million to perform maintenance and other work for the Navy, the company said Wednesday.
General Dynamics Electric Boat will perform the work on the USS Miami, an attack submarine.
The work — including repairs, maintenance, alterations and testing — will take place at Electric Boat's Groton, Conn., shipyard.
The contract could be worth as much as $12.2 million if all options are exercised and funded. Work is expected to be completed by August.
Shares of General Dynamics, based in Falls Church, Va., fell 47 cents to $76.38 in morning trading.
