Social networking pioneer Craig Newmark will share his insights into the Internet economy and other musings Tuesday at a "fireside chat" and luncheon with Columbia business leaders.
The Craigslist founder's first trip to Missouri is hosted by the University of Missouri's Tiger Institute for Health Innovation, a collaboration with the Cerner Corporation. Tickets for the general public remain available through the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
Newmark began Craiglist in 1995 as an e-mail list for friends and acquaintances in San Francisco. The site has since grown into a worldwide network of local classified ads and Internet chat rooms.
