Hardware and software provider Par Technology Corp. said Monday that its Rome Research Corp. subsidiary received a $46 million research and development contract from the U.S. Air Force.
Information technology and communication services company Rome Research will provide its services at Air Force Research Laboratory facilities located in Rome, Newport, and Stockbridge, N.Y., as well as at other locations.
As part of the five-year pact, the company will perform exercises and training missions on fielded technologies in combat.
Shares of Par Technology gained 17 cents, or 3.1 percent, to $5.62 in afternoon trading. Over the past year, the stock has traded in a range of $3.73 to $7.25.
