Optical transport provider Aurora Networks today announced the appointment of two new members to its United States sales team.
Northeast director of U.S. regional market sales, Ed Kopakowski, and western U.S. market regional account manager, Richard Olson, will both report to David Lang, Aurora Networks’ vice president of sales for the U.S. regional market.
“Both Ed Kopakowski and Richard Olson bring extensive broadband sales experience to Aurora Networks’ U.S. team and will undoubtedly be major contributors in achieving Aurora Networks’ revenue growth and customer support goals,” said Lang.
Kopakowski brings nearly 30 years of experience in worldwide sales operations and marketing to Aurora Networks, with a heavy focus on the fiber optic and cable markets. Most recently with Pacific Broadband Networks, Kopakowski has led national sales teams for companies including C-Cor, Sony and General Instrument Corp.
Olson brings more than 25 years of working with corporate, regional and systems engineering to Aurora. Prior to joining the company, he held management positions with C-Cor, Falcon Holding Group and TCI.
Aurora Networks said the expanded U.S. sales team is expected to address increasing demand from MSOs across the country for fiber deep technologies to compete more effectively with alternative service providers, direct-to-home satellite providers and telcos in the delivery of advanced services.
