ECN proudly runs a blog series that highlights how individuals fell into their engineering career. From the straightforward approach to the quirky and unique, each story carries a distinctive voice that can help, inspire, and support others.
The text-based tales also have a video-based home within ECN’s “Why I Became An Engineer” series. There, you can hear the exciting origins, interesting new projects, and words of wisdom from the engineers themselves.
With all this in mind, I will be attending the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC), May 21 – 22, in San Jose, California.
According to IEEE WIE ILC, the event “provides professional women in technology, whether in industry, academia, or government, the opportunity to create communities that fuel innovation, facilitate knowledge sharing, and provide support through highly interactive sessions designed to foster discussion and collaboration.”
Launched 4 years ago, the conference has a noble mission in mind: inspire, engage, and advance women in engineering.
Founder & Chair at IEEE ILC Nita Patel will welcome the crowd on the opening day, along with President & CEO at IEEE Jim Jeffries; Managing Director, Innovation at Hatch Emily Moore; Corporate Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Intel Corporation Paula Tolliver; and Chief Evangelist at Canva Guy Kawasaki.
Attendees can choose from five tracks that follow different themes: Executive Leadership, Empowerment, Innovation, Disruptive Technology, and Workshop.
You can view the full program agenda here.
