Back in November, three daredevils wearing jetpacks joined the Patrouille de France in a spectacular aerial show. Recently, the same Jetman Dubai team donned their flying gear for another hair-raising performance, this time accompanied by the Breitling Wingwalkers.
According to Jetman Dubai, the jet-propelled wings weigh a total of 331 lbs. (150 kg) and have a maximum speed of 140-170 knots (161-196 mph). The aerial team uses a JetCat 9400 engine, moving the daredevils with 88 lbs. of thrust.
The team flew over the Pal Jumeriah off the coast of Dubai, soaring alongside the world’s only aerobatic wingwalking squad. During the intricate flying maneuvers, the Breitling Wingwalkers experience speeds of 150 mph and g-forces as strong as 4G.
Yves Rossy, one of the jetpack participants highlighted in the video, comments about the surreal experience of flight, “The future of human flight is clear – completely autonomous like a bird. The real dream is to be completely free. Completely free.”
