· DOD promotes development of brain-reading devices: The US Department of Defense is working to develop a cheap, wearable system that can detect a person's brain waves and display the data on smartphones and tablets.

· The Garmin D2 smartwatch for pilots: Garmin has introduced their D2 smartwatch, which provides airplane pilots with navigation and avionics readouts. 

· Unique, interactive Paper Generators: Disney Research is creating thin, flexible generators that can be built into paper projects, such as the pages of a book.
