ICE’s CT07 and CT08 current sense transformers use a nanocrystalline core to increase the current rating and frequency range over similarly sized CT’s commonly used in AC/DC converters, motor drives and power supplies.

ICE Components announces two new current sense transformers. ICE’s CT07 and CT08 current sense transformers use a nanocrystalline core to increase the current rating and frequency range over similarly sized CT’s. ICE’s CT07 and CT08 offers many advantages over CT’s presently used in AC/DC converters, motor drives, power supplies for telecom applications and power supplies for high power.

The CT07 and CT08 are suitable for frequencies from 40Hz to 200kHz. The CT07 has a max current rating of 200A and the CT08 has a max current rating of 50A. Both parts use the traditional “tombstone” package to match competitive footprints and feature a hi-pot rating of 3,750 Vac.

“The CT07 and CT08 current sense transformers offer a lot of flexibility to our customers. The use of nanocrystalline material really shrinks the size compared to other CT’s on the market and offers a wide frequency range.” says Robin Benas, Engineering Manager for ICE Components.

Parts are available with prices averaging $1.61 for 100k pieces of the CT07 and $1.51 for 100k pieces of the CT08. Individual parts pricing may vary due to volume, configuration and shipping destination. Contact ICE Components directly for volume pricing, lead times and samples (800)729-2099
