Combining charging and monitoring functions, Shurite Systems’ UL606012-approved DC power management system performs in battery-powered applications, specifically emergency medical carts. The DC power monitor shows crucial power source information completing diagnostics for troubleshooting and evaluating warranty claims, and automatically scheduling power supply and battery maintenance. The monitor creates event log spreadsheets and charge/discharge curves, predicts the life of the battery and charge time, and can be adapted for use in any power platform. The 10 A or 20 A 3-stage multi-profile DC charger provides communication with the DC power monitor, and allows the end user to receive data for evaluation via a USB port. The charger includes a microprocessor, built-in A/D inputs and a driver to support standard indicator/switch functions of a customer-provided fuel board.
