NexTek, Inc. announces its E-Class Series SurgeGuard lightning arrestors that are designed for optimizing RF performance at frequencies up to 6 GHz. The series provides bi-directional protection, and it passes DC without any performance degradation. The series was developed to meet the demands of RF applications including Ultra Wideband, Wi-Fi, WiMAX ground penetrating radar, surveillance, high speed communications systems, 5.0 GHz to 6.0 GHz UNII, MMDS, WLL, IMS bands, public safety 4.9 GHz and HiperLAN. It is based on a gas discharge tube design packaged in two small-geometry form factors designated PTCONFSAF09E and PTCONxONF09E. The miniature PTCONFSAF09E arrestors measure 42 mm x 24 mm, and the PTCONxONF09E arrestors measure 50 mm x 24 mm.
