Astrodyne Corp. announces three package options within the 5W offering in its PowerBlock micro-miniature modular switching power supply series. Designed to replace larger discrete designs, all models offer single outputs of 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC. This series has a universal input range of 90V AC to 260V AC and 47 Hz to 440 Hz. Additional specifications include input to output isolation of 3,000V AC, output ripple/noise at 150 mV Pk-Pk (typ.) (20 MHz BW) and efficiency at FL of up to 76 percent (typ.). All models are over-voltage (clamp type) and short circuit (continuous) protected. Three package styles include standard open PCB pin mount, SIP style open PCB pin mount or fully encapsulated PCB pin mount.
