eval-11 kitThis kit is an easy way for electronics designers to experiment with near field RF (Radio Frequency) charging of EnerChip CC rechargeable solid state energy storage devices. The near field RF Induction method of supplying “wireless power” is an excellent contactless solution for recharging the EnerChip and has many applications.

The EVAL-11 kit includes an RF charging transmitter board, a USB cable to power the transmitter board from a PC, and an EnerChip CC CBC3150-based receiver board. In addition to the EnerChip CC, the receiver board has a planar antenna for receiving power from the transmitter board and an output capacitor for delivering pulse current for radio transmissions.

The receiver board also has a connector for a Texas Instruments eZ430-RF2500T wireless network endpoint device. This combination enables designers to experiment with the concept of RF Induction charging for wireless sensor nodes.

The D&D bracer is a fairly quick, fun, nerdy LilyPad project. The final product is a wearable bracer with a display that will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100 in response to arm movement, so it can effectively replace all of the dice in your bag for a D&D session.

Sustainable?
Sustainable?

I'd like some genius to define sustainable. Could we count something that we can keep doing for 100 billion years - beyond the death of the Universe as we currently understand such things - as sustainable? How about a billion years?
