IMS released a software tool to aide in the design of enclosure configurations. This web-based product configurator features a point and click approach to enclosure design. The process starts by choosing a cabinet size and adding available accessories. The tool allows the designer to place accessories in exact RU location in the rack that best the users specific design requirement. Results include a bill of material for specific configuration; a drawing of configured console for visual reference
Applied Motion Products announces its STAC6-Q stepper drives with current output from 0.5A to 3.2A with 220V AC input. They provide software selectable resolutions from 200 to 51,200 steps/rev at speeds up to 50 rps. The robust Q programming environment provides options for downloading, storing and executing multiple programs with a single drive, giving users the benefit of register manipulation, conditional processing, math functions and multi-tasking.
Emerson Network Power introduces two products that are designed to increase the flexibility and availability of communications among data center support systems. The Liebert vNSA network switch allows multiple Ethernet-ready devices to communicate and function as a team, while the Liebert SiteLink-E provides a communications link
Tyco Electronics announces its hand held visual fault locator (VFL) that provides a rugged system for identifying breaks and bending in optical fibers and cabling. Its powerful red 650 nm laser provides the ability to locate damaged, broken or tightly bent fibers that cause undesirable attenuation in systems. The VFL cable jacket will glow red at the location of the fault. The flash button allows the user to toggle between continuous or pulsed mode. A single “AA” style battery is sufficient for more than 30 hours of continuous use and the soft-side protective case with belt loop provides protective storage.
Tektronix, Inc. announced its Ultra-Wideband Software (Tektronix UWB) for DPO/DSA70000 oscilloscopes that extends the debug and analysis capabilities of real time oscilloscopes that operate up to 20 GHz bandwidth, 200M memory and 50 GS/s on all four channels to include real-time analysis of Ultra Wideband RF and electrical signals. Using capabilities such as time gating and packet finder, the intended signal that may be separated by time, power spectrum or frequency from other traffic can be analyzed.
Anritsu Co. introduces the MU181000B 12.5 GHz 4-port synthesizer, MU181000A/B-001 jitter modulation option and MX180005A jitter application software for its MP1800A signal quality analyzer series. These options allow the MP1800A series to conduct highly accurate jitter tolerance measurements on devices with up to four channels such as multi-channel CPU boards, PC boards, and optical devices forming interconnects in routers, servers and super computers.
Saelig Co., Inc. offers a free Windows driver for PicoScope PS3224 and PicoScope PS3424 USB PC Oscilloscopes that opens up a whole range of applications because of its speed increase. With a new streaming mode capable of transferring over six million samples per second, it allows the scope to bypass its own memory buffer and transfer data direct to the PC's memory.
Data Translation announced its Instrument Pak for Measure Foundry. It provides a drag-and-drop graphical software for LXI test and measurement applications. Users can configure applications with newer LXI instrument capabilities using IVICOM drivers along with existing VISA and SCPI programs. Measure Foundry is an open application builder that supports standard instruments such as function generator, oscilloscope, digital multimeter (DMM), and programmable power supplies for automated test equipment (ATE).
OptoTherm, Inc. announces another version of its Micro thermal imaging system that includes a thermal imaging camera with greater sensitivity, 16-bit digital camera link interface, and a microscopic lens with 20 µm spatial resolution. It is used to detect shorts and defects on semiconductor devices and small circuit boards, and it can also measure junction temperature, identify die bonding defects and measure packaged die thermal resistance.
Seaward Group USA introduced its Cropico range of high-accuracy digital temperature indicators that are designed for precision temperature measurement and calibration in a range of electronics, industrial, scientific and environmental monitoring applications. The three-model range offers a choice of inputs for platinum resistance thermometers and all popular thermocouple types. The 3000 model has inputs for Pt25 and Pt100 platinum resistance thermometers and thermocouples.
LDS Test and Measurement introduced its Dimension 4i data acquisition system that combines high speed, gap-free data recording with real time FFT analysis. It is a 16-channel, self-contained system that is capable of streaming all channels to its removable hard drive at 200 kS/s per channel. Each channel uses 24-bit analog to digital converters for maximum resolution and accuracy.
Agilent Technologies, Inc. announces an enhancement to its vector signal analyzer (VSA), signal studio and mobile WiMAX test Set measurement products to facilitate testing of the WiMAX Forum's Wave 2 system profiles. With their ability to test multiple input multiple output (MIMO) and other Wave 2 profile functionality, the systems provide up-to-date tools for engineers who require signal analysis, signal generation and end-to-end functional testing of mobile WiMAX.
BPM Microsystems' Flashstream offers flash programming of NAND and NOR flash memory at speeds as low as 2.5 percent over the theoretical programming minimum. The company’s Vector Engine uses a proprietary co-processor design to hardware accelerate flash memory waveforms during the programming cycle. Faster speeds are achieved through synchronous operations that eliminate the dead times when the DUT waits on the programmer.
UTEC introduce Slim Line DC Brushless Blower Fans to fit into lowprofile applications. The blowers provide maximum air performance with its dual intake type frame and it is suitable for Note Book, A4 size Laptop, PDA Mobile Devices and any other low profile applications.
