CSR launched its sixth generation of BlueCore silicon for Bluetooth. BlueCore6 includes both industry leading radio performance and power consumption, as well as full support for the latest version of the Bluetooth specification (v2.1+EDR), according to the company. Included is the company’s AuriStream technology, which helps Bluetooth handle voice traffic.
Xilinx added Spartan-3A DSP devices to its XtremeDSP portfolio of products for signal processing applications. The BR 1/2AA provides reliable power at extreme operating temperatures from -40°C to +100°C. Their extreme temperature tolerance, low self-discharge rate, and compact design make these cells suitable for difficult field applications, including meter monitoring, RFID, and electronic toll collection. Dytran Instruments, Inc. announced the model 3088C high temperature, charge mode accelerometer that is capable of operating at temperatures up to +600°F.
