The PICMG 3.1 compliant processor blade is equipped with Second-Generation AMD Opteron processor Model 2210, each with 2MB L2 cache and support for up to 8 GB of memory per processor interface. It uses a high I/O bandwidth (HyperTransport technology link interface), Broadcom HT2100 and HT1000 server-class chipset.
SBC Upgraded for Extended Life
July 17, 2007 9:36 am | CommentsDiamond Systems Corporation announced an upgrade to the Hercules EBX Single Board Computer, extending the life of the product through 2010 and providing a migration path for end-of-life EBX and EPIC SBCs which utilized Via Eden processors or Intel Celeron/Pentium III processors with the Via Twister-T chipset. Ths SBC retains the footprint, mounting holes, I/O, connectors, connector locations and pin definitions of the earlier model.

The switch uses a spring loaded, magnetically coupled sensor which can be externally adjusted for higher or lower sensitivity. This technology is suitable for cooling towers, fans, small motors or pumps, or any installation which requires immediate shutdown when increased vibration levels are present.

Users can choose the front-end processing appropriate to the application from a dual channel 105 MSPS analog input, a dual channel 210 MSPS analog output or a RS-485 module. All three I/O modules integrate into a VMETRO PMC-FPGA03, PMC-FPGA05 or DEV-FPGA05 card. These FPGA-based PMC/PCI boards feature Xilin VirtexT-II Pro or Virtex-5 FPGAs and memory banks directly connected to the FPGA for signal and data processing in computationally intensive applications.
