LDO Regulators in Thin SOT-23 Package

The CAT6217 and CAT6218 LDO regulators source 150 mA and 300 mA output currents, respectively, in a five-lead, 1 mm profile thin SOT-23 package. The regulators offer a low quiescent current combined with a low typical dropout voltage of 90mV at a 150 mA load for the CAT6217 and 180 mV at a 300 mA load for the CAT6218.
CODEC Brings Sound, TV connectivity to Digital Cameras
August 7, 2007 5:41 am | CommentsWolfson Microelectronics launched the WM8941, a high-performance low-power CODEC with an integrated video buffer and speaker driver for use in digital still and video cameras. The mono CODEC uses four programmable notch filters to provide quality audio recording, while the integrated video buffer provides direct connectivity to a television. The company integrated the CODEC, video buffer and speaker driver in a 4 mm ×4 mm chip.
Single-chip, Three-input HDMI 1.3A Receiver Supports 36-bit Deep Color at 1,080p

In addition to being pin-compatible with the company’s first-generation three-input HDMI receiver (VTV2310), the VTV2313 supports xvYCC and up to 36-bit Deep Color at 1,080p and UXGA resolutions. Maximum bandwidth supported by the receiver is 6.75 Gbps at 225 MHz.
Ultra Low Jitter Timing Modules for Synchronous Ethernet

The timing modules can synchronize an Ethernet physical layer to a telecom network timing reference while generating a 0.18 picosecond jitter Ethernet clock. The modules can synchronize to common telecom frequencies such as 8 KHz and 19.44 MHz from the backplane or common Ethernet frequencies such as 25MHz and 125 Mhz from the physical layer

To ensure signal integrity at fast switching rates, the device features a wide common-mode signal range that enables rail-to-rail signal switching at data rates in excess of 4 Gbps.
Serial-to-Parallel Converter with High Voltage Push-Pull Outputs

The IC is suited for driving high-speed printers and LCD displays. Its outputs can be individually controlled, set to high or low, or set to a high-Z state, providing useful versatility in applications requiring fast shift register and data shifting speeds.
SD/MMC Card Interface Chip Runs Java with USB, Serial Interfaces

It acts as a card reader through a built-in USB peripheral port, so files can be shared between a PC and custom-design products. The chip is also appropriate for data logging applications. It communicates with SD/MMC cards and creates files and directories on them.

Automatic Power Sliding Door and Lift Gate Force Sensor

This sensor helps suppliers monitor these closing forces to insure they keep below the FMVSS levels and prevent accidental occupant trapping or injury. The sensor is secured in place in the door path during automatic closure, and can be used in repeated cycling without operator support.
