2014 IMPACT Award Winner: NI myRIO wins for Education Innovation
The NI myRIO is an embedded hardware device that enables students to learn engineering concepts and design complex systems via a technology that’s based on powerful, industry-standard technology, but designed and priced specifically for the academic audience. Features include:
· The ability to be used as multi-concept teaching tool to demonstrate concepts in the areas of embedded systems, controls, robotics, and mechatronics.
· Students can easily program and use the device when designing, building and deploying complete systems in their final-year design courses.
· The Xilinx Zynq-7010 all-programmable system on a chip (SoC), which provides a Dual-Core ARM Cortex-A9 processor and Artix-7 FPGA with 28,000 programmable logic cells.
