Tool aims to simplify Bluetooth product selection
Laird announced the release of the Laird Bluetooth Selection Tool. This simple online tool is presented as a resource for engineers to quickly narrow down the company’s Bluetooth offerings and choose the optimal Bluetooth module solution for their specific project requirements. 2013 brought an overhaul and refresh of the company’s Bluetooth module portfolio and this significant increase in module options has led to the release of the Bluetooth Selection Tool. In 2013 alone, Laird has launched four new Bluetooth product series to complement its product line, providing an additional 20 modules and associated development kits to bring the overall portfolio to more than 50 Classic Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) options.
Laird’s four new product series launched in 2013 included the single-mode BL600 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module, the BTM46x Made For iPod (MFi) module, the BT700 series of Class 1 modules, and the BT800 series of Class 1 USB HCI module and packaged dongle. This portfolio gives OEMs a variety of options for reliable Bluetooth data transfer in all types of mobile applications. These unique product solutions are ideal for application in the industrial, medical, and M2M communications.
