Rocker switch portfolio offers zero standby power

Omron announces the release of two new models to their Rocker Switch portfolio. The A8GS and A8GS-T are widely used as the main power ON/OFF switch in various applications such as printing devices, FA devices, Measuring devices and Electronic music instruments. A8GS: Remote Reset Rocker Switch
One of the smallest Remote Reset Rocker switches in its size class in the industry:
• Zero standby power by Reset function
• High inrush-current durability, conforming to TV-8 rating (Inrush 117A)
• Model variation for micro loads
• Model variation of micro load and high capacity combination (DPST) Has the ability to operate micro load and high capacity load at the same time
• Contact gap of 3 mm minimum
• UL and cUL standard approved, conforming to EN standards

A8GS-T: Remote Reset Rocker Switch with Delay OFF Function
One of the smallest Remote Reset Rocker switches with delay off function in its size class in the industry:
• Delay OFF function - Switch is kept in the ON position, even if button is operated to turn OFF; switch is turned OFF by external signal.
• Zero standby power with Reset function, switching OFF by external signal
• Prevents application trouble such as a data loss or circuit damage by forced power OFF
• Timing control of main power used to turn switch OFF for safety application designs with delay OFF function
• Contact gap of 3 mm minimum
• UL and cUL standard approved, Conforming to EN standards

A8GS is used to achieve energy savings, safety and conveniences in such applications as (but not limited to):
1. Cutting the standby power by using the Reset function (Energy saving)
2. Preventing forgetting to turn OFF the main power by using Reset function (Safety, energy saving)
3. Preventing circuit and data damage from power flicker by using the delay OFF function
4. Turning OFF the main power of many pieces of equipment at the same time
