XP Power announces its 10W ECL10 and the 15W ECL15 compact, low power AC/DC power supplies. Both supplies are available in three mechanical formats: open frame pcb mount, encapsulated pcb mount and open frame chassis mount. The units are available with single output voltages of 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 9V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC, 24V DC and 48V DC. Full power is supplied across the whole input voltage range of 85V AC to 264V AC or 120V DC to 370V DC. They operate across a range of temperatures from –20°C to +70°C, with derating above +50°C.

The series provides bi-directional protection, and it passes DC without any performance degradation. Semi’s dual-core PA6T-1682M PWRficient processor on Mercury’s military and industrial systems for high-performance signal and image processing applications. The PWRficient processor is said to achieve a 300 percent improvement in performance per Watt, enabling multiprocessor solutions for applications with constraints on size, weight, and power.
Emerson Network Power launches its Astec NTS503, a digitally controlled 500W AC/DC power supply that offers a power density of 11.9W per cubic inch. It has a compact 4" x 7" footprint, making it easy to incorporate a single unit that satisfies bulk DC power needs. It offers a choice of convection or forced-air cooling. The convection-cooled model has an output of 200W and a height of 1.5", making it suitable for 1U rack-mount chassis and other low-profile applications.
Absopulse Electronics introduces its DIO 122 dual output, high voltage isolated DC/DC converter that was developed for high power gate drivers and similar applications in oil and gas, mining, medical, railway and industrial environments. The converter is corona (partial discharge) free at 12 kVrms (minimum), and each unit is Hi-POT tested for 20 kVrms isolation. The typical operating voltage potential between primary and secondary is 6.5 kVrms to 10 kVrms with the same isolation provided between the outputs.
