Digital Infrared Temperature Sensor Reduces Outer Dimensions and Power Consumption

HL-Planartechnik, part of Measurement Specialties Inc., introduced the TSEV01P digital infrared temperature sensor. The benefit of this OEM module is integration leading to a reduction of the outer dimensions of the sensor combined with a reduction of the power consumption. The sensor, housed in a TO metal can, provides an electronic voltage depending on the incoming infrared radiation. Additional electronics are applied for analogue and digital signal processing in order to compute the surface temperature of the object of interest.

The device’s shielded metal package is 0.25" shorter than the 1.25" industry norm.
