Slotless brushless motor features rated output of up to 1,000 watts
Koford Engineering LLC has introduced a new line of 1.6 in. (42mm) slotless brushless motor. These motor use ceramic hybrid bearings for long life and electrical isolation between motor shaft and housing. They are available with a variety of windings and in either sensorless or hall sensor configuration. Rated output is up to 1,000 watts with no load speeds from 55,584 rpm. The slotless design provides cog free motion and efficiencies up to 94%. Rugged construction uses class 220 polyimide insulation. Corrosion resistant materials such as hardened 440C stainless shaft and nickel iron laminations are used in the motor construction and the motors are low outgassing. Compatible hall and sensorless drives are available.
