Aries Electronics introduced its line of RoHS-compliant flat pin staked flex jumpers, which are suitable for any application where a signal is jumped from one board location to another. The jumper series 171, 172 and 173 combine thin, flexible, solid copper conductors embedded between layers of tough, flexible, flame retardant insulation. EPCOS announced B43305 and B43508 series snap-in aluminum electrolytic capacitors. The B43305 series covers the capacitance range from 68 µF to 3300 µF and is available for voltages between 200V and 450V. It has an operating life of 2000 hours at a temperature of 85°C. RECOM has redesigned the RY-xxxxSCL/DCL series of DC/DC converters to comply with ROHS regulations. The series are regulated 1 Watt converters in a SIP 7 case. Compared with unregulated these converters show up a better output accuracy of ±2% and a by far better load regulation of ±0.5 % at a load change step from 10% to 100 %. TT electronics BI Technologies Electronic Components Division developed a steering sensor based on its proven Magnetorque technology. The non-contacting steering sensor features dual phased outputs for reliable diagnostic characteristics. Magnetorque sensors are programmable for gain and offset. At the time of assembly, customers can program the gain and offset values, allowing for adjustments to the mechanical tolerances in their system. This allows customers to use looser system mechanical tolerance resulting in cost savings and a more accurate system.
FCI developed a 0.3 mm-pitch, low-profile FPC ZIF connector suitable for mobile phone, digital still and video cameras, and display applications. Designated the YLL Series, the connector is available in two versions -- the D-Series with down-side contacts and the U-Series with upper-side contacts. The YLL-D provides 0.3 mm spacing, 13 to 45 down-side contact positions, and a maximum height of 1.0 mm.
National Instruments announced LabVIEW 8.5, the latest version of the graphical system design platform for test, control and embedded system development. The latest version combines the familiar graphical programming environment with commercial multicore hardware to achieve performance gains. MH&W International announced Keratherm 86/82, a high tensile strength, thermal interface material (TIM) that improves heat transfer from ICs and other components to their heat sinks, and provides durability for installation and long-term use. It is a thermally conductive, electrically isolating silicone film with a reinforcing fiberglass layer for tear and cut-through resistance. The silicone provides excellent wetting properties for filling interface surfaces.
