This method of termination combines the advantages of crimping, insulation piercing and surface mount technology. The system consists of a surface mount terminal and a terminating machine that feeds the wire into the connector and makes the termination.
Misumi USA, Inc. announced its compact stopper blocks and stopper brackets for machine and assembly builds. The stopper blocks are available in low-carbon steel with black oxide or nickel plating, as well as 304 stainless steel. Configurable heights in 1 mm increments from 3 mm to 20 mm are offered with compact counterbore design for flush fitting in tight spaces.
Keystone Electronics Corp. announced a selection of rugged, press-in type PTFE (Teflon) insulated terminals for high temperature and high quality terminal and connector applications. Engineered for high density packaging on .062 and .093(TH) PC boards, these terminals provide optimal electrical, mechanical, thermal and chemical characteristics. Rugged and resistant to mechanical shock and vibration, they operate within the temperature range of -85°F (-65°C) to +400°F (204°C).
Phoenix Contact introduced its T-Box and M12 adapter cover as part of its DUPLICON product range that offer installation flexibility. The T-Box is a compact alternative to stackable power distributor sets, and its contact insert has two screw connections per terminal for looping the power cable. The cable outlet on the additional stacked housing on the T-Box set can be plugged in any of the four directions.
W. L. Gore & Associates added high flex round cable to its online design tool, giving equipment designers more standard cable selections. The tool provides step-by-step instructions for configuring proprietary high flex cables (flat or round) or trackless cable from standard components. The round cable is available in two forms: single core with jacket for diameters less than 10 mm, and hybrid round cable configurations for combining multiple core components into one cable design
V-Infinity introduced a line of 30W DC/DC converters. The VSCQ30 series is compact, has a wide 4:1 input range, and excels in environments where space is at a premium and high efficiency is demanded. The pin mount version measures 2” x 1.6“. This series also has an available “T” chassis mount version for mounting convenience.

Dialight Lumidrives launched Colourdriver XP, its LED driver high power LEDs that provide LED users in the architectural, entertainment and leisure industries with more choice over the control of color changing LEDs. The driver meets the needs of high power LEDs like Luxeon K2, and it provides high power operation up to 1,000 mA with the option of a white or amber mix in addition to the three standard RGB channels.
Cree, Inc. announced its cool-white LEDs with 129 lumens per Watt and its warm-white LEDs with 99 lumens per Watt. These packaged, high-power LEDs for solid-state lighting were tested by NIST at 350 mA, and the outputs were measured after five minutes of operation to ensure thermal stabilization.
Endicott Research Group (ERG) released two Smart Force LED driver boards as standard products for a range of industrial LCDs. Both provide full function LED drivers in a compact size with wide range dimming, wide input voltage and full brightness and enable control. Smart Force LED rails are also available for use with the driver boards to provide thermal management.

These sunlight-readable LCDs offer high brightness, contrast and color saturation with optimal transflective properties for outdoor applications. Digital View introduced its HE-1400 and HE-1600 series of COTS LCD controllers to comply with the standards required for the harsh environments in military and rugged industrial applications. Both controllers feature wide tolerance power supplies (12V DC±25 percent), locking connectors and low-mass tantalum capacitors for maximum tolerance to shock and vibration.
