Industrial Computer with Compact Footprint

August 28, 2007 10:43 am | Comments

Sealevel Systems, Inc. introduces its Relio R1300 industrial computer powered by the high-performance, low-power AMD Geode 500 MHz LX800 processor. This computer with a remarkably compact footprint allows users to mount the unit to walls, under counters, on tabletops or to DIN rails using available optional brackets. The fanless operation of the computer improves reliability in industrial environments where dust and airborne particulates are present.

Modules for Signal Switching and Conditioning

August 28, 2007 10:38 am | Comments

WAGO Corp. announces its 857 Series of 6 mm wide, DIN rail mount, signal conditioning and relay modules. Also known as JUMPFLEX, the modules offer a system approach to signal switching and conditioning. A common profile allows the sharing of accessories such as jumpers since every wire entry has a corresponding jumper slot. The module’s push-in jumper system is available in red, white and blue color designations with 2 pole to 10 pole configurations.

Loop Powered Isolator to 3 KV

August 28, 2007 10:32 am | Comments

OTEK releases its model LPI opto-isolated loop powered transmitter that uses no transformers and choppers that reflect noise on the transmitter’s line. The transmitter uses a special technique to convert the incoming 4 mA to 20 mA frequency to drive the opto-isolator. The device comes in a miniature plastic case (metal on request) that can be din-rail mount, Velcro attached or in line with existing wiring.VDC and Hertz I/O options are also available. The LPI is useful in hazardous applications as an isolator or buster

Punch Down Blocks Field Terminate AWG 22-26 cabling in CAT 6a and CAT 7 Applications

August 28, 2007 9:58 am | Comments

Stewart Connector released the SS-51 series of punch down blocks engineered to allow the field termination of insulated AWG 22-26 solid copper wire in Category 6a as well as in Category 7 applications in which wires are individually shielded. The RoHS-compliant parts employ Insulation Displacement Contact technology, they allow for rapid mass termination of multiple wires in state-of-the industry telecom and datacom systems. The blocks boast a notched-head design to secure the wires in the plastic housing prior to termination to ensure a mechanically stable connection between the conductor, and terminating contact
