Holt integrates transformers with 3.3V MIL-STD-1553 dual transceiver
Holt Integrated Circuits today announced the introduction of HI-2579, the World’s smallest 3.3V MIL-STD-1553/1760 dual transceiver with integrated dual transformers.
The HI-2579 die is hermetically sealed on a ceramic LCC substrate and dual transformers are mounted in the same package. The ceramic substrate allows extended temperature operation from −55oC to +125oC and achieves Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) 1.
The product is specifically designed for use with MIL-STD-1553/1760 FPGA designs, and provides a single-component solution to interface an FPGA directly with a dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 bus.
“Combining dual transceivers and transformers in a single package provides customers with a significant cost and footprint reduction,” said Anthony Murray, Director of Business Development at Holt. “This continues an emerging trend at Holt, launched with our recent announcement of the World’s smallest fully integrated MIL-STD-1553 terminal, HI-2130.”
The devices are available in industrial −40oC to +85oC and extended −55oC to +125oC temperature ranges. Samples are available on request.
